The Research Cell of N. K. P. Salve Institute of Medical Sciences & Lata Mangeshkar Hospital Nagpur organized an online guest lecture on 6^th May 2021 on “Avenues in research  collaboration and incubation centre.” The guest lecture was given by Dr. Mrugna Gupta CEO, Incubation Centre GH Raisoni Nagpur .

Overall 37 teaching staff members participated in this interactive session. Dr Mrugna, who is CEO briefed about various methods of safeguarding Intellectual property like trademarks, copyrights, branding and patenting. Also she explained regarding the prerequisites of being eligible to the incubation centre and the facilities provided there. She also described the process of patenting, legal issues related to patents and the journey from development to commercialization of the medical devices. Dr. Aashay Kekatpure Research cell member and Associate Prof, Department of Orthopaedics, coordinated the program and explained the need for the incubation centre and collaboration with engineering department for the fast paced developments in the Surgical fields. He also expressed gratitude towards Dr Gupta and all the participants for actively participating in the session.
