We had organised a Peer Assisted Learning session in the Department of Ophthalmology, where the residents of Department of Medicine  were taught fundus examination by the Ophthalmology residents (JR3) on 28/10/2021 and 29/10/2021.

On both the days, the session was started by presentation on Diabetic and Hypertensive Retinopathy by Dr.Rhutuja Deo (Assistant professor, Ophthalmology).Then practical sessions where conducted on patients (with diabetic and hypertensive retinopathy) where ophthalmology residents taught the fundus examination to medicine residents by Direct ophthalmoscope.Further, fundus photographs were taken of diseased patients on fundus camera and explained to the medicine residents by Dr.Rhutuja Deo.

  1st day session was attended by 14 residents.

  2nd day session was attended by 12 residents.
