Viral Hepatitis is an extremely important public health problem. It is often considered as silent killer and can be detected only when complications like cirrhosis or hepatocellular carcinoma develop. 28 th July is globally celebrated as ‘World Hepatitis Day’ On this day throughout world programs are conducted to create awareness about viral hepatitis. To mark this day Department of General Medicine has undertaken Hepatitis Awareness Program at RHTC Katol for interns, nursing staff and non-teaching staff. Dr.RuchaTodkar, Junior Resident of department gave lecture on viral hepatitis and emphasised on importance of prevention and vaccination of viral hepatitis. Dr Rupal Darak, CMO RHTC, Katol helped wholeheartedly to conduct this program She also get posters related to Viral Hepatitis done from interns on 28th July 2022.
