On the occasion of ‘WORLD DIABETES DAY’, Department of General Medicine has organized a Diabetes awareness program in OPD premises. It was undertaken in an innovative way. Junior Residents in the department presented skits depicting diagnosis, counselling regarding adherence to treatment, complications and importance of lifestyle modification in the form of dietary modification and regular exercise. Important inputs were also given by senior faculties from department. It was attended by large number of patients and their relatives. It was the first program in the celebration of World Diabetes Day.
