BASIC OBSTETRICS SKILLSWORKSHOP FORMBBS STUDENTS

Department of OBGY had organised Basic Obstetrics Skills Workshop for MBBS students 2021 (A Batch)21 st to 24 th July 2025. On 21 st July, participants were divided into 4 groups. Hands on workshop was conducted on following topics, a) Obstetrics examination- Dr. Abhilasha & Dr.Rutu b) Foetal skull and Maternal Pelvis – Dr. Abhishek &  Dr. Parth c) Pelvic assessment – Dr. Kanchan Dadhe & Dr. Pooja d) Mechanism of labour – Dr. Prajakta & Dr. Kajal
On 22 nd July 2025, Hands on workshop was conducted with following stations, a) Universal precautions- Dr. Krutika & Dr. Vasundhara b) Urinary Catheterization and ARM – Dr. Abhishek & Dr. Srishti Kalara c) Normal Vaginal delivery- Dr. Komal & Dr. Silky d) Episiotomy – Dr. Rohini & Dr. Shantanu
On 23 rd July 2025,Hands on workshop was conducted on following topics, a) Forceps and Vacuum – Dr.Neetu & Dr. Kalyani b) Breech- Dr. Kanchan Dwidmuthe &  Dr. Trupti c) Shoulder Dystocia – Dr. Srishti Chaudhary & Dr. Gulnaaz d) Tubal ligation -Dr. Sheela Jain & Dr. Anjanee
On 24 th July 2025, Hands on workshop was conducted on following topics, a) IUCD (no touch technique) – Dr. Anurag &  Dr. Rushika b) PAP Smear- Dr. Prajakta & Dr. Nikita D c) PS / PV Examination – Dr. Bhavana &  Dr. Risha d) S and E &D and C – Dr. Mugdha & Dr. Shivangi Evaluation was conducted at the end of each session by OSCE, DOAP and VIVA questions. Remedial and hands on practice session was taken at the end of each day. The workshop concluded with certificate distribution. All participants appreciated the workshop.
