The department of OBGY organized a Basic Obstetrics skills Workshop for MBBS students from 12″ APRIL  to 16 APRIL  2024. On 12 APRIL  participants were divided into 4 groups. The hands-on workshop was conducted on the following topics,

1. Obstetrics examination- Dr. Kanchan & Dr. Trupti

1. Fetal Skull and Maternal Pelvis – Dr. Anurag & Dr. Pooja

1. Pelvic assessment – Dr. Rohini & Dr. Shivangi

1. Mechanism of labor – Dr. Siddhi & Dr. Vasundhara

On 13″APRIL, Hands-on workshop was conducted with the following stations,

1. a) Universal precautions- Dr. Kritika & Dr. Preeti

1. b) Urinary Catheterization and ARM – Dr. Priyanka & Dr Ojas

1. c) Normal Vaginal delivery- Dr Sheela Jain & Dr. Srishti Chaudhary

d)Episiotomy – Dr. Shraddha & Dr Farah

On 15 APRIL  2024

 Hands-on workshop was conducted on following topics,

1. Forceps and Vacuum – Dr. Sai & Dr Risha

1. Breech- Dr. Nikita & Dr Awanti

1. c) Shoulder Dystocia – Dr Prajakta & Dr Silky

1. d) Tubal ligation -Dr. Anurag & Dr Darshan

On 16 APRIL 2024

A hands-on workshop was conducted on the following topics

1. IUCD (no-touch technique) -Dr Prajakta & Dr Awanti

1. PAP Smear- Dr. Sanyukta & Dr. Abhishek

1. PS / PV Examination – Dr. Rohini & Dr. Rutu

1. S and E and D and C – Dr Shraddha & Dr Shrishti

The evaluation was conducted at the end of each session by OSCE, DOAPS, and VIVA questions. Remedial and hands-on practice session was taken at the end of each day. The workshop concluded with certificate distribution. All participants appreciated the workshop.
