The Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, N.K.P Salve Institute of Medical Sciences &Research Centre and Lata Mangeshkar Hospital, Hingna, Nagpur has organized ‘‘ASHA WORKERS’ AWARENESS PROGRAM’’ on 10^th August 2022 at 12 pm-2 pm at Inspire Hall. The inauguration was done by Vice-Dean (N.K.P Salve Institute of Medical Sciences &Research Centre and Lata Mangeshkar Hospital Hingna Nagpur) Dr. Vilas Thombare, Dr. Anuja Bhalerao (Professor& HOD OBGY department).  The guests for program were Dr. Mayank Gadkari (AO),Mr. Ayush Agrawal (CA), Dr. Manisha Chaudhary (AO).

Various problems faced by ASHA Workers while working and coordinating between patients and doctors were addressed satisfactorily by Vice Dean and other dignitaries. Dr Prajakta Junewar has conducted Cancer Awareness Program for ASHA workers and talked about how this awareness can be spread not only to the patients but to each and every villager. Dr. Sharvari Lothe has talked about Antenatal Care to create awareness so that many problems during pregnancy can be picked earlier by appropriate Antenatal check-ups.

 Dr. Savita Somalwar along with all the dignitaries have felicitated ASHA workers for their selfless services followed by Umbrella distribution for all the ASHA workers present for the program.

The Program was well coordinated under the able guidance of Dr. Anuja Bhalerao (Professor & HOD OBGY) by Dr. Prajakta Junewar, Dr. Sharvar iLothe, Dr. Snehal Naphade.

The enthusiastic participation of 67 ASHA workers and efforts taken by social workers Mrs. Sunita Ramtekkar and Mrs. Archana Selokar were responsible for the big success of the event.
