The Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, N.K.P Salve Institute of Medical Sciences & Research Centre and Lata Mangeshkar Hingna Nagpur organised ‘‘ASHA WORKERS’ AWARENESS AND FELICITATION PROGRAM’’. The inauguration was done by Vice-Dean Dr. Thombare, Dr. Sulabha Joshi (HOD OBGY department) and Dr. Anuja Bhalerao (Professor OBGY department). The Program was well coordinated under the able guidance of Dr. Sulabha Joshi (HOD OBGY department) and  Dr. Anuja Bhalerao (Professor OBGY department) by Dr. Prajakta Junewar, Dr. Pallavi Khangar, Dr. Roshni Rathi, Dr. Rohini Bhoyar.

Dr Prajakta Junewar conducted Cancer Awareness Program for ASHA workers and talked about how this awareness can be spread not only to the patients but to each and every villager. Dr.Varsha Kose and Dr. Nikita Vijay along with all the dignitaries have felicitated three ASHA workers with cash prizes for their selfless services followed by Saree distribution for all the ASHA workers present for the program.

The enthusiastic participation of 139 ASHA workers and efforts taken by social workers Mrs. Sunita Ramtekkar and Mrs. Archana Selokar were responsible for the big success of the event.
