Dept. of General Medicine had organized a Guest lecture on 15.9.2021 at 2pm in departments seminar room on the topic of “A to Z about Renal Transplantation – Physician’s perspective”. Dr Jitesh Jeswani (DM Nephrology, European SE Nephrology ) and UG alumni of NKPSIMS and also alumni of dept. of Medicine NKPSIMS and practicing Nephrologist from city  was guest speaker.

Dr. Jeswani emphasized the importance of early counselling of chronic kidney diseases (CKD) patients and their relatives for Renal Transplantation when patient was initiated on hemodialysis for better survival and long productive life.

He has elaborated in detail pretransplant evolution of recipient and doner, transplant procedure, immunosuppression, immediate and long-term complications and legal procedure associated with transplant. Dr Jeswani cleared doubts of audience; it was quite informative and interactive lecture.
