The event commenced with the Master of Ceremonies (MOCs), Mr. Janak Suthar and Ms. Pranali Puri   extending a warm welcome to the gathered audience, participants, and distinguished guests. The MOCs set a celebratory tone for the evening, emphasizing the significance of the “Swarangan” – National Level Intercollegiate Singing Competition.

The traditional lamp lighting ceremony marked the official start of the competition. This symbolic gesture was performed by esteemed guests, including the Chief Guest, key faculty members, and senior judges. The lighting of the lamp represented the illumination of knowledge and creativity.

The MOCs formally welcomed the Chief Guest, Dr. Sudhir Bhave, eminent judges, Mr. Ashwin Khaparde and Dr. Shubhadha Gade and other dignitaries including Chairman VSPMAHE, Shri Ranjeetbabu Deshmukh. Each guest was introduced to the audience, and their contributions to the field of music were briefly highlighted.

An overview of the Swarangan Competition was presented, detailing its inception, objectives, and the importance of promoting musical talent among college students. The MOCs highlighted the competition’s role in fostering creativity and providing a platform for young singers to showcase their skills.

The event continued with an introduction of the orchestra team, who provided musical accompaniment throughout the competition. Their role in enhancing the performances was emphasized, and they were acknowledged for their support and expertise.

The solo performances began with a diverse array of musical pieces, each showcasing the individual talents of the participants. Contestants from various colleges delivered captivating renditions, demonstrating a high level of skill and emotional expression. Throughout the competition, there were filler performances by both teaching and non-teaching staff of the college, adding variety and entertainment between the competitive segments.

Following the solo performances, the duet category featured pairs of singers collaborating on stage. The duets presented harmonious and well-coordinated performances, highlighting the importance of teamwork and synchrony in music.

The judges shared their observations and insights, commending the high caliber of performances and the overall success of the competition.

Solo Category:

  Winner: Mr. Aditya Lele (GMC Chandrapur)

                Cash prize- Rs. 10,000/-

  1st Runner-Up: Mr. Himanshu Dandekar (NKPSIMS, Nagpur)

                Cash prize- Rs. 7,000/-

  2nd Runner-Up: Ms. Mrunal Mulay (JNMC, Wardha)

                Cash prize- Rs. 5,000/-

Duet Category:

  Winner: Mr. Vanshaj Tayal and Ms. Anchita Barat (NKPSIMS, Nagpur)

                               Cash prize- Rs. 10,000/-

  1st Runner-Ups: Mr. Prajwal Raut and Ms. Ashwini Matte (NKPSIMS, Nagpur)

                               Cash prize- Rs. 7,000/-

  2nd Runner-Ups: Mr. Adarsh Singh and Ms. Niharika Thatte (NKPSIMS, Nagpur)

                                Cash prize- Rs. 5,000/-

The judges were honored with mementos and tokens of appreciation in recognition of their valuable contributions and expert evaluations throughout the competition.             

The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Adarsh Singh. Gratitude was extended to all participants, guests, organizers, and the audience for their support and enthusiasm. The successful execution of the event was attributed to the collective effort of everyone involved.

The Phantom Art Exhibition, held on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd of August, 2024, at the Harmony Hall of Lata Mangeshkar Hospital, transported visitors into a world of eerie creativity. The event, themed around horror, showcased an incredible range of artistic expressions and welcomed a competition across various categories. The exhibition featured face painting, t-shirt painting, rangoli, diya and bottle decoration, poster making, and more, inviting students and participants to dive deep into their imaginations and create something spine-chillingly unique.

On August 12, 2024, the NKP Salve Institute of Medical Sciences & Research Centre and Lata Mangeshkar Hospital, Nagpur, successfully conducted an oath-taking ceremony under the “Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan” initiative. This event, aimed at pledging against drug abuse, was marked by the enthusiastic participation of students and faculty alike.

The ceremony was graced by the esteemed presence of Dr. Sajal Mitra, Dean of NKP Salve Institute of Medical Sciences, who led the event with a motivational address. The event was further honored by Dr. Aniruddha Deoke, Member of the Student Welfare Board, MUHS, Nashik, who emphasized the importance of youth involvement in the fight against drug abuse.

Dr. Rajesh Dehankar, Chairperson of the College Students’ Council, also played a significant role in the proceedings, encouraging students to uphold the values of the pledge in their daily lives. Mr. Janak Suthar, General Secretary of the College Students’ Council, and Mr. Yashraj Deshmukh, President of the College Students’ Council, actively participated in the ceremony, reinforcing the commitment of the student body to a drug-free society.

The event saw a substantial turnout, with students from various batches of the medical college gathering to take the solemn pledge. The participants collectively vowed to do everything within their power to keep themselves, their community, and the nation free from the menace of drugs.

The oath-taking ceremony was a testament to the institution’s dedication to social responsibility and the well-being of society. The event concluded with a renewed sense of purpose among the participants, all of whom left with a firm resolve to contribute to a drug-free India.
