The ceremony commenced with a warm welcome extended by the MOCs setting the tone for the event. Symbolizing the enlightenment of knowledge, the lamp was lit to mark the beginning of the ceremony, signifying the journey towards wisdom and enlightenment. 

Distinguished guests and dignitaries, Mr. Ravinder Kumar Singal ,Shri Ranjeetbabu Deshmukh and others were welcomed to the event, acknowledging their presence and contribution to the occasion.

The outgoing president Mr. Rushikesh Ghanokar, extended a heartfelt welcome, reflecting on the achievements and experiences of the previous term. 

The outgoing chairperson Dr. Sushrut Fulare delivered an insightful speech, sharing wisdom and imparting valuable advice to the incoming council. 

The previous Council Secretary , Ms. Aditi Kshirsagar presented a comprehensive report, highlighting the accomplishments and challenges faced during the previous term. 

The formal installation of the new student council members took place, marking the beginning of their tenure and responsibilities. The newly elected members took their oath of office, pledging to fulfill their duties with sincerity and dedication. A symbolic exchange of seats followed, symbolizing the transition of power and responsibility. 

The Alumni Association presented a token of support and encouragement to the newly installed council members, fostering a sense of unity and camaraderie. 

The incoming President Mr. Yashraj Deshmukh delivered an acceptance speech, outlining their vision and goals for the upcoming term, inspiring confidence and enthusiasm among the attendees. 

The newly appointed Chairperson, Dr. Rajesh Dehankar expressed gratitude and shared their plans for leading the council towards excellence, igniting a sense of purpose and determination.

The outgoing office bearers were felicitated for their commendable service and dedication, with words of appreciation and gratitude. 

The Dean, Dr. Kajal Mitra addressed the gathering, offering words of encouragement and guidance to the newly elected council members, emphasizing the importance of leadership and responsibility.

The Chairman of VSPMAHE, Shri Ranjeetbabu Deshmukh delivered a motivating address, inspiring the students to strive for excellence and make meaningful contributions to society.

The event commenced with Round 1, where each participant took to the stage for a captivating walk accompanied by a brief introduction. This round set the tone for the competition, allowing participants to make their first impression on the audience and judges alike.

Talent Showcase: Round 2 provided participants with the opportunity to exhibit their talents in various forms. From mesmerizing musical performances to dazzling dance routines, painting and even thought-provoking poetry recitations, each participant left a lasting impression with their remarkable skills and creativity.

Througout the event, cultural fillers from the batches of 2022 and 2023 added to the vibrancy of the evening with their captivating performances. The diverse array of talents showcased during these fillers further enriched the cultural tapestry of the event, keeping the audience thoroughly entertained between rounds.

Secret Round – Dubbing AV Clip: Round 3 introduced an element of surprise and humor as participants were tasked with dubbing audio-visual clips presented on the screen. This unexpected challenge tested their spontaneity, wit, and ability to think on their feet, eliciting laughter and applause from the audience.

Judges’ Round: In the final round, the participants faced questions from the esteemed panel of judges. These questions, thoughtfully prepared by the judges themselves, delved deeper into the participants’ personalities, values, and perspectives, providing valuable insights for the evaluation process.

The Ice Breaking Event, held on February 9th, served as a delightful prelude to the festivities that followed. Organized by the College Students’ Council and supported by faculty members, the event aimed to foster inter-batch bonding and coordination, particularly between the new batch of MBBS 2023 and the existing batch of 2022.

The event commenced with a series of games designed to promote teamwork and communication, including Abrar’s Relay, Musical Chairs, Treasure Hunt, and the iconic Paper Dance. These games elicited laughter and friendly competition, setting a jovial atmosphere for the day. Both the batches showcased their unity and spirit through vibrant dance performances, further strengthening the bonds within each batch. Balloon games and the creative Head, Shoulders, Knees game added to the excitement and enthusiasm of the day.

The event concluded with a Rose Giving Ceremony, symbolizing appreciation and friendship among the students. This was followed by a joyous DJ session, where students danced and celebrated together, creating cherished memories of camaraderie and joy.

On World Environment Day, a significant tree plantation drive was organized by the Internal

Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) in conjunction with the College Students’ Council at

N.K.P. Salve Institute of Medical Sciences & Research Centre and Lata Mangeshkar Hospital.

The event aimed to promote environmental awareness and sustainability among students,

faculty, and staff members of the institution.

The event saw enthusiastic participation from students across all academic years, ranging from 1st year to final year, as well as interns. The collective effort underscored the commitment of the entire academic community towards environmental conservation.

The day commenced with a spirited rally in which students marched through the campus, holding placards with messages advocating tree plantation and environmental protection. This initiative aimed to raise awareness among the larger community about the importance of greening initiatives.

Following the rally, a ceremonial tree plantation took place in the gardening area besides the NRI boys hostel. The planting of trees symbolized the institution’s dedication to fostering a green campus environment. Each tree planted represented a step towards enhancing the campus ecosystem and combating climate change.

The tree plantation drive was inaugurated with a green flag by the Dean of the college,   

Dr. Sajal Mitra, signifying official endorsement and support  from  the college administration. The gesture highlighted the institution’s leadership and commitment to environmental sustainability.

Students actively participated in every aspect of the event, from organizing the rally to digging and planting saplings. This hands-on involvement not only contributed to the success of the initiative but also instilled a sense of responsibility towards environmental stewardship among the student body.

The cultural extravaganza, “UDBHAV,” unfolded with an air of anticipation and excitement as students and faculty gathered to celebrate talent and creativity. Hosted by the MOCs, Mudassir Khan and Kashish Shah, the evening promised a blend of mesmerizing performances and soulful melodies.

The event commenced with a warm welcome, setting the stage for an evening of cultural immersion.

The music band, Mystique Mantra, captivated the audience with their harmonious melodies, showcasing the talent of Himanshu Dandekar, Prisha Bhagat, Soham Ladse, and others.Gauri Jadhav mesmerized everyone with her graceful and expressive solo dance performance, earning admiration and applause.

Neha Kankrej’s versatility was shown by a soulful rendition of an Indian Classical Song and a Spanish song which left a lasting impression, showcasing her vocal prowess and emotive depth. A skillful dance performance by Aayushi Jagtap, added vibrancy to the evening, leaving the audience enthralled.

Anshul Lokare’s melodious voice resonated through the venue, captivating hearts with his heartfelt rendition, followed by a group dance Nritya Nirvana who delivered a captivating performance, blending precision and passion in their choreography Samiksha Jadhav’s powerful vocals left a lasting impression on the audience.

Parul Morande’s captivating dance performance showcased her skill and creativity, leaving the audience spellbound. A dance duo by Netra Singh and Vivek Kapri was a testament to their chemistry and dedication, a very synchronised performace earning admiration from the audience.

The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all participants, organizers, and attendees for making UDBHAV a memorable experience. Special thanks to the College Students Council for managing the event, Dr. Anne Wilkinson , Advisor CSC and Cultural Committee Incharge and Dr. Rakhee Tirpude ,Co-Chairperson, CSC worked hard to coordinate the program in a short span of time.

The distinguished presence of Honorable Justice

The meticulously choreographed ceremony, orchestrated with finesse by the College Students’ Council under the stewardship of President Yashraj Deshmukh and General Secretary Janak Suthar, encapsulated the essence of academic excellence and professional integrity. Chief Guest Honorable Justice Shri Vikas Shridhar Sirpurkar, with profound gravitas, administered the oath to the freshly minted doctors, underscoring their solemn pledge to uphold the principles of medical ethics and compassionate care.

On 16th April 2024, the inauguration of the  Mahabharat-themed Wall Mirror took place with great fervor and enthusiasm. The event aimed to celebrate the timeless tales of the epic  Mahabharat  through visual storytelling and artistic expression.

The centerpiece of the event was the unveiling of four display walls, each depicting four iconic stories from the Mahabharat: Draupadi Vastraharan, Arjun Krishna Samwaad, Bhishma Pitama Vadh, and Krishna Viraatroop. These depictions not only showcased the rich narrative of the epic but also highlighted its relevance in contemporary times.

Additionally, the display walls featured works curated by the college student council, showcasing their talent and creativity. One wall displayed shlokas from the Bhagwat Geeta, emphasizing the philosophical teachings embedded in the Mahabharat. Another wall showcased the photography skills of students, capturing moments inspired by the epic. The final wall exhibited drawings and sketches by students, offering a fresh perspective on the themes and characters of the Mahabharat.

Overall, the inauguration of the Mahabharat-themed Wall Mirror was a resounding success, fostering appreciation for Indian mythology, art, and culture among students and attendees.

The screening of the IPL match between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Mumbai Indians (MI) was organized on 14^th April, 2024 at Campus Garden (behind Campus Ganesh Mandir) to foster student engagement and provide an interactive viewing experience for all the cricket fans on campus.

This event took place throughout the entirety of the match, delivering a live, shared experience of one of the most awaited matches of the IPL this season and was done successfully by the Students’ Council 23-24 team.

Highlights:

The large screen and sound setup alongwith a large, open garden ensured a mini stadium-like experience for its viewers. This screening event successfully managed to gather a large amount of crowd from all the Batches, where fans of the both the teams cheered loudly for their teams.

CSK’s impressive batting and MI’s bowling had the crowd on the edge of their seats, where the match saw close calls and unexpected turns turning the excitement to the final overs.

Overall, the response was overwhelmingly positive, where students and staff congratulated the team for creating a memorable and historic experience and expressed interest in future screenings.

The program began with the MOCs welcoming the esteemed guests, including members of the peer team, faculty, and attendees, to the Cultural Evening “AAROHAN.” The event aimed to showcase the diverse talents of the students while fostering a sense of community and joy.

The evening unfolded with a series of captivating performances, each leaving a lasting impression:

The music group, “Mystique Mantra” presented a harmonious music and song performance, setting the tone for the evening.The band was led by Himanshu with members Aryan, Anushree, Priyasha, Chirag, Shreesh, Tejas, Arya, Soham, and Vaishnavi.

Adarsh Singh mesmerized with a melodious rendition, taking the audience on a journey of music and emotion. Neha Kankrej showcased her versatility by singing two songs – the Spanish hit “Despacito” and a Hindi melody, captivating the audience with her range and skill.

Himanshu Dandekar’s enchanted the audience with his singing prowess, leaving hearts uplifted. Anshul Lokare’s voice captured our hearts with his soulful rendition.

Dr. Sahil Ingle and Dr. Bhavna Banga, Psychiatry Residents showcased their singing prowess, earning applause and admiration.

The dance group Nritya Nirvana, delivered an energy-packed performance, each move telling a compelling story, with members Adishree, Aastha, Dipti, Labhanshree, Mayank, Arya, Tejas, and Rishi.

Ketki Dhumne’s dance performance showcased grace and skill, leaving the audience spellbound. Pranali Bhagat’s Lavni performance was a graceful display of talent, earning admiration from all.

Dr. Udai Chowdhary, the reigning dance champion of JOSH 2023, delivered a skillful and mesmerizing dance performance, leaving the audience in awe.

We are grateful to students Radhey Tohar and Aniruddha Gupta for their invaluable contributions to the technical team, ensuring the seamless execution of the event.

Saraswati Puja, also known as Basant Panchami, is a Hindu festival celebrated to honor the goddess Saraswati, who is revered as the deity of wisdom, knowledge, and learning. This auspicious occasion holds great significance, especially in educational institutions, where students seek the blessings of Saraswati for academic success and enlightenment. NKPSIMS, Nagpur, embraced this tradition with fervor and enthusiasm, marking the day with various rituals and cultural activities.

In anticipation of Saraswati Puja, the campus of NKPSIMS was adorned with vibrant decorations, predominantly in yellow, symbolizing prosperity and vibrancy associated with the onset of spring. The puja venue was beautifully decorated with flowers, rangolis, and images of Goddess Saraswati, creating a serene and spiritually uplifting atmosphere.

The Saraswati Puja ceremony commenced with the chanting of Vedic hymns and mantras, invoking the blessings of the goddess Saraswati. Faculty members, students, and staff gathered to offer their prayers and seek divine guidance for academic excellence and intellectual growth. The puja rituals were conducted with utmost reverence and devotion, signifying the importance of knowledge and learning in one’s life.

As a gesture of goodwill and communal harmony, prasad consisting of traditional sweets and fruits were distributed among the attendees. This symbolic gesture emphasized the spirit of sharing and generosity, bringing people together in a spirit of unity and joy.

The event, which featured a diverse range of outdoor and indoor sports, provided an excellent platform for students to engage in healthy competition and foster camaraderie.

In the volleyball competition, the 2022 batch teams exhibited great determination and skill, with both boys’ and girls’ teams showcasing their talent on the court and clinching victory.

–       Basketball:

The basketball tournament witnessed intense matches as the boys’ team from the 2022 batch and the girls’ team from the 2023 batch emerged victorious, showcasing their agility and strategic play.

–       Football:

The football matches were a highlight of the event, with the boys’ team from the 2022 batch and the girls’ team from the 2023 batch delivering thrilling performances and securing well- deserved victories.

Indoor Sports:

Indoor sports events such as table tennis, chess, and carrom provided an opportunity for students to demonstrate their skills in a more controlled environment.

–       Table Tennis (TT):

The table tennis competition saw intense rallies and impressive shots as students vied for supremacy. Megha Krishna emerged as the winner in the girls’ singles category, while Vaibhav Somani and Parth Chaudhary clinched victory in the boys’ doubles category for the 2022 batch.-       Chess:

The chess tournament showcased the strategic thinking and tactical prowess of the participants. Shreya Mishra and Jatin Zade emerged victorious in the girls’ and boys’ categories, respectively, with Riddhi Sarda and Radhey Tohar securing runner-up positions

–     Carrom:

The carrom matches were characterized by skillful maneuvers and precision shots. Piyush Borkar and Mayur Nagapure emerged as the winners in the boys’ category for the 2022 batch, while Ishita Sharma and Adishree Rajeshrike claimed victory in the girls’ category for the 2023 batch.

The college sports fest “AARAMBH” unfolded seamlessly, showcasing a harmonious blend of athletic prowess and spirited camaraderie. Under the banner of sportsmanship, students from different batches came together to celebrate the essence of competition and collaboration.

From the inaugural ceremony by the hands of our Chief Guest, Dr. Amit Samarth and Chairman of VSPMAHE,    Shri Ranjeetbabu Deshmukh to the final whistle, every aspect of AARAMBH was meticulously organized, ensuring a smooth and exhilarating experience for participants and spectators alike. The organizing committee’s dedication and meticulous planning were evident in the flawless execution of the event, fostering an atmosphere of excitement and enthusiasm throughout the sports fest.

Participants exhibited exemplary sportsmanship, competing with passion and integrity while upholding the values of fair play and mutual respect. The enthusiastic support from cheering crowds further amplified the energy, creating an electrifying ambiance that resonated across the campus.

With a comprehensive array of sporting disciplines, including football, cricket, basketball, volleyball, athletics, kho kho, swimming, badminton, table tennis, carrom, and chess, AARAMBH provided a platform for students to showcase their talents and push their limits.

As the curtains drew close on AARAMBH, memories were etched, bonds were forged, and champions were crowned. It was a testament to the collective efforts of the organizing committee, participants, volunteers, and supporters who contributed to making AARAMBH a resounding success, embodying the true spirit of sportsmanship and unity.
