The Ice Breaking Event, held on February 9th, served as a delightful prelude to the festivities that followed. Organized by the College Students’ Council and supported by faculty members, the event aimed to foster inter-batch bonding and coordination, particularly between the new batch of MBBS 2023 and the existing batch of 2022.
The event commenced with a series of games designed to promote teamwork and communication, including Abrar’s Relay, Musical Chairs, Treasure Hunt, and the iconic Paper Dance. These games elicited laughter and friendly competition, setting a jovial atmosphere for the day. Both the batches showcased their unity and spirit through vibrant dance performances, further strengthening the bonds within each batch. Balloon games and the creative Head, Shoulders, Knees game added to the excitement and enthusiasm of the day.
The event concluded with a Rose Giving Ceremony, symbolizing appreciation and friendship among the students. This was followed by a joyous DJ session, where students danced and celebrated together, creating cherished memories of camaraderie and joy.

On World Environment Day, a significant tree plantation drive was organized by the Internal
Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) in conjunction with the College Students’ Council at
N.K.P. Salve Institute of Medical Sciences & Research Centre and Lata Mangeshkar Hospital.
The event aimed to promote environmental awareness and sustainability among students,
faculty, and staff members of the institution.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from students across all academic years, ranging from 1st year to final year, as well as interns. The collective effort underscored the commitment of the entire academic community towards environmental conservation.
The day commenced with a spirited rally in which students marched through the campus, holding placards with messages advocating tree plantation and environmental protection. This initiative aimed to raise awareness among the larger community about the importance of greening initiatives.
Following the rally, a ceremonial tree plantation took place in the gardening area besides the NRI boys hostel. The planting of trees symbolized the institution’s dedication to fostering a green campus environment. Each tree planted represented a step towards enhancing the campus ecosystem and combating climate change.
The tree plantation drive was inaugurated with a green flag by the Dean of the college,
Dr. Sajal Mitra, signifying official endorsement and support from the college administration. The gesture highlighted the institution’s leadership and commitment to environmental sustainability.

The music band, Mystique Mantra, captivated the audience with their harmonious melodies, showcasing the talent of Himanshu Dandekar, Prisha Bhagat, Soham Ladse, and others.Gauri Jadhav mesmerized everyone with her graceful and expressive solo dance performance, earning admiration and applause.
Neha Kankrej’s versatility was shown by a soulful rendition of an Indian Classical Song and a Spanish song which left a lasting impression, showcasing her vocal prowess and emotive depth. A skillful dance performance by Aayushi Jagtap, added vibrancy to the evening, leaving the audience enthralled.
Anshul Lokare’s melodious voice resonated through the venue, captivating hearts with his heartfelt rendition, followed by a group dance Nritya Nirvana who delivered a captivating performance, blending precision and passion in their choreography Samiksha Jadhav’s powerful vocals left a lasting impression on the audience.
Parul Morande’s captivating dance performance showcased her skill and creativity, leaving the audience spellbound. A dance duo by Netra Singh and Vivek Kapri was a testament to their chemistry and dedication, a very synchronised performace earning admiration from the audience.
The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all participants, organizers, and attendees for making UDBHAV a memorable experience. On 16th April 2024, the inauguration of the Mahabharat-themed Wall Mirror took place with great fervor and enthusiasm. The event aimed to celebrate the timeless tales of the epic Mahabharat through visual storytelling and artistic expression.
The centerpiece of the event was the unveiling of four display walls, each depicting four iconic stories from the Mahabharat: Draupadi Vastraharan, Arjun Krishna Samwaad, Bhishma Pitama Vadh, and Krishna Viraatroop. These depictions not only showcased the rich narrative of the epic but also highlighted its relevance in contemporary times.
Additionally, the display walls featured works curated by the college student council, showcasing their talent and creativity. One wall displayed shlokas from the Bhagwat Geeta, emphasizing the philosophical teachings embedded in the Mahabharat. Another wall showcased the photography skills of students, capturing moments inspired by the epic. The final wall exhibited drawings and sketches by students, offering a fresh perspective on the themes and characters of the Mahabharat.

The screening of the IPL match between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Mumbai Indians (MI) was organized on 14th April, 2024 at Campus Garden (behind Campus Ganesh Mandir) to foster student engagement and provide an interactive viewing experience for all the cricket fans on campus.
This event took place throughout the entirety of the match, delivering a live, shared experience of one of the most awaited matches of the IPL this season and was done successfully by the Students’ Council 23-24 team.
Highlights:
The large screen and sound setup alongwith a large, open garden ensured a mini stadium-like experience for its viewers. This screening event successfully managed to gather a large amount of crowd from all the Batches, where fans of the both the teams cheered loudly for their teams.
CSK’s impressive batting and MI’s bowling had the crowd on the edge of their seats, where the match saw close calls and unexpected turns turning the excitement to the final overs.
Overall, the response was overwhelmingly positive, where students and staff congratulated the team for creating a memorable and historic experience and expressed interest in future screenings.

Adarsh Singh mesmerized with a melodious rendition, taking the audience on a journey of music and emotion. Neha Kankrej showcased her versatility by singing two songs – the Spanish hit “Despacito” and a Hindi melody, captivating the audience with her range and skill.
Himanshu Dandekar’s enchanted the audience with his singing prowess, leaving hearts uplifted. Anshul Lokare’s voice captured our hearts with his soulful rendition.
Dr. Sahil Ingle and Dr. Bhavna Banga, Psychiatry Residents showcased their singing prowess, earning applause and admiration.
The dance group Nritya Nirvana, delivered an energy-packed performance, each move telling a compelling story, with members Adishree, Aastha, Dipti, Labhanshree, Mayank, Arya, Tejas, and Rishi.
Ketki Dhumne’s dance performance showcased grace and skill, leaving the audience spellbound. Pranali Bhagat’s Lavni performance was a graceful display of talent, earning admiration from all.
Dr. Udai Chowdhary, the reigning dance champion of JOSH 2023, delivered a skillful and mesmerizing dance performance, leaving the audience in awe.

NKPSIMS, Nagpur, embraced this tradition with fervor and enthusiasm, marking the day with various rituals and cultural activities.
In anticipation of Saraswati Puja, the campus of NKPSIMS was adorned with vibrant decorations, predominantly in yellow, symbolizing prosperity and vibrancy associated with the onset of spring. The puja venue was beautifully decorated with flowers, rangolis, and images of Goddess Saraswati, creating a serene and spiritually uplifting atmosphere.
The Saraswati Puja ceremony commenced with the chanting of Vedic hymns and mantras, invoking the blessings of the goddess Saraswati. Faculty members, students, and staff gathered to offer their prayers and seek divine guidance for academic excellence and intellectual growth. The puja rituals were conducted with utmost reverence and devotion, signifying the importance of knowledge and learning in one’s life.
