Department of General Medicine NKPSIMS & RC and LMH in collaboration with CIDS Immunization subcommittee organised CME on “Adult Immunization-The Unmet Challenge” on 16^th February, Friday from 12:30pm to 4.00PM in Harmony hall, NKPSIMS.

The CME was inaugurated by Vice Dean Dr. Vilas Thombare sir who also spoke graciously on the occasion. This was followed by introductory remarks by HOD & Organizing Chairman, Dr. Tanuja Manohar and short speech on purpose of CME by Organizing Secretary, Dr. Shilpa Kuthe.

The first session was virtual by eminent speaker Dr. V. Ramsubramanian, past president of CIDS (Clinical Infections Disease Society). Eminent Infectious disease experts of city, Dr. Ashwini Tayade and Dr. Nitin Shinde also spoke on vital topics related to adult Immunization. Dr. Gyanshankar Mishra senior faculty from IGMC spoke on Pneumococcal vaccination. Panel Discussion was moderated by Dr. Ashwini Tayade. Panelists were Dr. Nalini Humaney, Dr. Anuja Bhalerao, D. Anil Sontakke, Dr. Jitesh Jeswani & Dr. Siddharth Dhande. One of the interesting virtual sessions was by Dr. Neha Gupta, renowned infectious disease specialist from New Delhi.

Programme was conducted by Dr. Yoshita Talmale who also concluded by giving vote of thanks.
