Report – Workshop on Vaginal  Surgeries

 Department Of Obstetrics and Gynaecology NKPSIMS & R.C. organized a live workshop on Vaginal Surgeries in association with the Nagpur Obstetrics and Gynaecological Society on 19^th Feb 2024. It was a full-day workshop held at the NKPSIMS & RC Digdoh Hills.

The operating faculties were Dr. Ashish Kubde and Dr. Alka Patankar. In all six vaginal surgeries were done which included vaginal surgeries for uterine prolapse and non-descent vaginal hysterectomies. The highlights of the workshop were a demonstration of High Uterosacral ligament suspension Sacrospinous fixation and  TOT.

The workshop was inaugurated at the hands of Dr. Ashish Kubde, Dr. Alka Patankar, Dr. Sushma Deshmukh President NOGS, Dr. Anuja Bhalearo Prof & HOD Dept. of OBGY, Dr. Varsha Kose Organising Chairperson and Dr. Sheela Jain Organizing Secretary & Dr. Ketki Marodkar Asso.Prof Dept. of Anaesthesia. Dr. Anuja Bhalerao Prof & HOD Dept. Of OBGY and Dr. Sushma Deshmukh President NOGS welcomed the audience. Dr. Ashish Kubde and Dr. Alka Patankar addressed the delegates.

The workshop was attended by 102 delegates which included private practitioners of the city and postgraduate students  & faculties from various medical colleges of the region.

 The intricacies of vaginal surgeries, tips & tricks of complicated procedures were shared by the faculties and the workshop was highly appreciated by all.  MMC credit points – 2, were awarded for this workshop. The workshop was held under the able guidance of Dr. Anuja Bhalerao Prof & Head of Dept. OBGY  and with the support of the Dept. of Anaesthesia & Dr. Anjali Bhure and immense support from the Dean Dr. Kajal Mitra and the Management. All the staff members of the Dept. of ObGy worked hard for the success of the workshop.
