Reporting of the workshop
“Good Clinical Practice”

Institutional Ethics Committee (IEC) and Department of Pharmacology, NKPSIMS & RC and LMH, Nagpur. Have organized One day workshop “Good Clinical Practice” on 17th April 2023 from 9 am to 5 pm.

at Inspire Hall NKPSIMS & RC and LMH, Nagpur. 45 delegates were registered and they attended the workshop successfully.The event was coordinated by Dr. R. A. Siddiqui (Professor & HOD) Dept. of Pharmacology & Member Secretory(IEC) as the organising chairperson along with Dr Shadma Quazi (Assist. Prof.) Dept. of Pharmacology & Member (IEC) as the organising Secretary

The eminent speakers were, Mr. Sachin S. Sadekar, Associate Director IQVIA, and Cap. Smitha Naidu, Associate Director (Training) IQVIA.
Dr R A Siddiqui (Professor & HOD) proposed the keynote address. Followed by the welcoming of the speakers  with a floral bouquet by Dr A P Date

The inauguration was done at the hands of Hon’ble Dean Dr Kajal Mitra accompanied with Dr N Deosthale (Vice Dean), Dr V Thombre (Vice Dean), Dr Sawane (Incharge P G Cell), Dr Mohana Mujumdar (Director General Administration) along with the faculty and guest speakers by lightening the traditional Lamp.

All the sessions were precise & informative. Various aspects of GCP, like Ethical Guidelines & Regulations, Introduction to GCP: Tenets of ICH GCP, New Drugs and CT Rules, 2019 – Refresher, Ethical principles in Clinical Trials including Informed consent, Misconduct etc, investigator, Sponsor & EC Responsibilities, ICH GCP R2- Updates, Safety Management in Clinical Trials, Good Documentation Practices, and IMP Management in Clinical Trials were discussed.
There was a good interaction with the speaker in the question & answer session.
Dr. R. A.Siddiqui, Dr. Amit. P. Date presented a memento as a token of appreciation to the guest speakers.
Dr H Salankar delivered a vote of thanks.
Pre-test, Post-test and feedback were also taken.

The organizing committee consist of Dr RA Siddiqui (Professor & Head), Dr A Date (Asso.Prof.), Dr T.R. Shende (Asso.Prof.), Dr H. V. Salankar(Asso.Prof.), Dr S Quazi (Asisst. Prof.) & Dr P Sonwane (Asisst.Prof.). Organizing team and departmental non-teaching staff Mrs D. S.Taiwade, Mr V Bansod, Mr D.Dhore, Mr. M Ujjenwar & along with IT staff, hall supervisor & electrical dept. worked hard to make it a grand success.

There was an overwhelming response to the workshop from all the faculty members from various departments.
