INTRACOLLEGIATE DEBATE COMPETITION 2023

Every year COLLEGE STUDENTS’ COUNCIL (CSC) of N. K. P. Salve Institute of Medical Sciences & Research Centre and Lata Mangeshkar Hospital, Nagpur organizes Intracollegiate Debate Competition. Under the able guidance of Hon. Dean Dr. Kajal Mitra, this year also the event was organized by the current team of 2022-23 with great enthusiasm and fervor on 4th January 2023. The topic for this year’s debate was MEDICAL EDUCATION SHOULD BE IN REGIONAL LANGUAGES. A total of 18 participants from our medical college participated in the event. The program was inaugurated by the hands of Dr. Kajal Mitra Dean, Dr. Sushrut Fulare Chairperson, Dr. Rajesh Dehankar Co-Chairperson, and Advisor Dr. Anne Wilkinson & Dr. Mohana Majumdar CSC 2022-23. MOC Shraddha Pawar and Raj Shahu of 2021 Batch welcome the gathering and Dr. Ashutosh Ade talked about the debate competition. Dean Dr.Kajal Mitra highlighted the importance of students’ participation in such activities to enhance their all-around development.

To judge the debate competition, we had renowned judges Dr. Umesh Hasani, Associate Professor of Microbiology Department NKPSIMS , Dr. Nilima Buddharaja, Associate Professor of VSPM Dental (Oral And Maxillofacial Surgery), and Dr. Y. Pallavi Associate Professor of VSPM Physiotherapy. The debate was moderated by Dr. Ashutosh Ade and Ms. Vidisha Araspure.  The results were announced by Dr. Rakhee Tirpude, incharge of Debate & Publications.

Winner for the motion: Ms. Tanashree Kirpal

Runner up for the motion: Ms. Gauri Mohite                                              

Winner against the motion: Ms. Hania Quairashi

Runner up against the motion: Ms. Adviti Sawant

The winners were awarded trophies and certificates. A formal vote of thanks was proposed by CSC 2022-23 General Secretary Ms. Aditi Kshirsagar. The program concluded with the valuable words of our judges. The program was conducted by MOCs Ms. Shradha Pawar and Mr. Raj Shahu.

Students of the council Mr. Rushikesh Ghanokar, Mr. Mayur Andhale, Ms. Aditi Kshirsagar, Mr. Daksh Baraskar, Ms. Disha Jibhakate, Mr. Yuvraj Morke, Mr. Gaurav Pawar, Mr. Harsh Malekar, Mr. Madhur Ugale, Mr. Yashraj Deshmukh, Ms. Gauri Kela, Ms. Shravani Yende, Ms. Rashi Jhunjhunwala, Ms. Khushboo Sathawane, Mr. Pradeep Sole, Mr. Vivek Ingole, Mr. Taranjot Singh Narula, Mr. Bonny Naik, Dr. Ashutosh Ade, Dr. Rohan Jogewar toiled day and night to make this event a great success.
