Superspeciality Services at Lata Mangeshkar Hospital

• Neurosurgery & Neurology: Started in 2011. Two Neurosurgeons and a Neurologist provide services. Recently, a high-end operating microscope worth ₹2 crore has been added. The department is equipped for Brain Tumor, Vascular, Spine, and Endoscopic Spine surgeries.
• Nephrology: Started in 2011 with 22 dialysis machines serving patients from Central India. Around 1,400 dialysis sessions are conducted every month, mostly under the MJPJAY scheme. A successful Renal Transplant surgery was recently performed.
• Urology: Started 10 years ago. Three full-time urologists provide services. The hospital has permission for Renal Transplantation, with one successful transplant completed and 18 patients awaiting surgery.
• Plastic Surgery: Started in 2012 and permitted to take one MCH student every year. So far, six PGs have been registered and three have completed the course. The department performs all reconstructive and cosmetic surgeries.
• Paediatric Surgery: Started in 2012 and permitted one MCH Pediatric Surgery student each year. Handles critical paediatric, endoscopic, and laparoscopic surgeries referred from across Central India.
• Gastrointestinal Surgery & Medical Gastroenterology: Equipped with state-of-the-art endoscope, colonoscope, and ERCP facilities. The hospital recently received permission for Liver Transplantation and has an MOU with Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital for this program.
• Cardiology & Interventional Radiology: Started in 2021, serving poor and needy patients in Central India. Cardiothoracic Surgery, Pediatric Cardiology, and EP Studies will be added soon.
• Other Superspecialities: Rheumatology and Immunology services are growing rapidly in popularity.
• New Superspeciality OPD: Started in January 2024 on the 1st floor of the Ranjeet Deshmukh Superspeciality Annex Building.
• ENT: The department has started Cochlear Implant Surgery and successfully performed the first adult Bilateral Cochlear Implant in Nagpur.
• Dermatology: Fully equipped with operation theatre and lasers for dermatology, cosmetic, and anti-aging treatments (CO2 Laser, Q-Switch, HydraFacial, Diode Laser, Botox, and Fillers).
• Oncology: Medical Oncology services have started. Radiation Oncology will be launched soon. Palliative care for terminally ill patients will also be available shortly.
• Radiology & Imaging: MRI upgraded to 1.5 Tesla in progress. 128-slice Cardiac CT by G.E. Healthcare with AI-based patient positioning has been installed. Ultrasound and reporting room upgraded.
• Pediatric Intensive Care Ambulance: A fully equipped state-of-the-art ambulance is available 24×7 for pediatric patient transport.
• Cardiothoracic Surgery: Department being launched with a dedicated OT and all necessary equipment already in place.
