A CME on Gastrointestinal Pathology was organized by the Department of Pathology on Friday 25^th August 2023. It was inaugurated by Dr. Kajal Mitra, Dean, NKPSIMS & RC and LMH. Eminent faculty for the CME were Dr. Mukta Ramadwar, Professor Pathology Dept, Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, Dr. Prashant Bhandarkar, Consultant Gastroenterologist, Nagpur, Dr. Amol Dongre, Professor and HOD Oncology, DMIMS, Sawangi, Dr. Prachi Sancheti, Consultant Pathologist, Nagpur, Dr. Siddharth Dhande, Consultant Gastroenterologist, Nagpur and Dr. Surabhi Sapre, Consultant, Asian Institute of Gastroenterology, Hyderabad. They delivered talks on Endoscopy findings, Surgical biopsies interpretation and treatment in various non-neoplastic & neoplastic lesions involving the upper & lower Gastrointestinal tract. .
The Maharashtra Medical Council observer was Dr. Naresh Gurbani. 2 Credit points were granted by Maharashtra Medical Council for the CME.
108 delegates from Nagpur, Gondia, Mumbai, Washim, Katol, Latur, Ahmedabad, Gwalior and Hyderabad attended the CME. All the sessions were followed by good discussion which included the Clinical, Pathological and Oncological aspects of Gastrointestinal Pathology.
 The organizing team of Dr. Sabiha Maimoon, Dr. Anne Wilkinson and Dr. Trupti Dongre along with the staff and Residents of the Department of Pathology worked relentlessly to achieve successful organization of the CME.
