The Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, N.K.P. Salve Institute of Medical Sciences &Research Centre and Lata Mangeshkar Hospital Hingna Nagpur in association with NOGS had organized “ LateDr. Leela dube oration and CME on New emerging contraceptive pills’’ on 27 th March 2022 in loving memory and honour of late Dr.leela Dube , the first Head of department of OBGY in this institute.

This year the oration was delivered by renowned Gynecologist and an excellent medical teacher Ex Professor and HOD Dr. D. N. Buhariwalla on topic “Down memory lane”. Various interesting and rare caseswere presented by madam which covered not only academic and surgical aspects but also treating women with dignity and utmost empathy.The program was organized forObstetricians and gynaecologists all over Vidarbha . The dynamic duo of Dr. Alka Mukherjee, President NOGS and Dr. Ashish Kubde honorary secretary NOGS with Dr.Anuja Bhalerao Professor and Head department of OBGY NKPSIMSwere instrumental in organizing the oration .

Dr.AnujaBhalerao welcomed the august gathering. Dr. Kajal Mitra Dean NKP Salve Institute of medical scienceswas Guest of honour for the event.The chief guest of inauguration ceremony Shri Ranjeet babu Deshmukh , Chairman Vidya Shikshanprasarakmandal graced the program and encouraged the department for such keeping up the Legacy and work culture set by Late Dr. Leela Dube. Tributes to Dr. Leela Dube were presented by Dr.Sulabha Joshi Ex HOD of the department. Dr. Forum Tanna and Dr. Pooja Kothari spoke on scope and safety of newer emerging progesterone only contraceptives. Dr. Prachi Dixit and Dr.Sanyukta Dawle were Masters of ceremony for the program.

Late Dr. Leela Dube Gold medal was presented to Dr.Ayushi Keoliya for best outgoing student and scoring highest marks in OBGY in Final MBBS exam of year 2020.

The program was attended and applauded by 104 Obstetrician and Gynecologists across Nagpur.
