International day for older persons diagnostic camp

On behalf of international day of older persons department of general medicine, NKPSIMS has organised comprehensive medical examination camp for elderly person in department of general medicine on 3/10/2022 from 10 am to 2pm.

            Camp was inaugurated by Dr. Thombre sir, Vice Dean in preserve of chief guest Dr. N. Deosthale Medical Superintendent, NKPSIMS & RC, Nagpur. Total 36 elderly patients were examined by physician and associated specialist from other clinical department.

            Patients ECG, Blood sugar, lipid profile & HbA1C tests were carried out and patient had given 7 days medicine in the form of multivitamins capsules. For this camp specialist from orthopaedic, ophthalm, surgery, ENT, Psychiatry, Dental, Physiotherapy, Dietician were present. They have examined patients & advised necessary treatment.

            Dr. Tanuja Manohar, Professor & HOD General Medicine, Dr. Y. V. Bansod , Professor & Incharge Geriatric clinic & Mrs. Shilpa Pande dietician deliver heath talk. Dr. Humaney, Professor of General Medicine & other faculties were present for programme.

            During the camp health educational posters and essay competition was organised        Dr. Sunanda Chaoji, Asso. Professor has evaluated the essays and prizes were distributed to meritorious participants. Program was attended by 70-80 patients & relatives, Dr. Suhas Gajbhiye Assistant Professor in General Medicine has conducted the program & offer vote of thanks. Staff members, Residents, interns social worker Mrs. Sandhya Pathode work hard for success of the camp.

            Representatives from Indian Pharma & Akumentis Healthcare provides investigation facility & drugs.
