Department of Community Medicine programs in May 2022

Guest Lecture on Research Grant Writing

Guest lecture on research grant writing was organised by Dept of Community Medicine in collaboration with Directorate of Research on 02/05/2022. Professor Sanjay Zodpey,Vice President – Academics, Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI), New Delhi was the speaker. Occasion was graced by Dean, Dr. Kajal Mitra, Dr. Ajeet Saoji, Prof and Head, Dept. of Community Medicine. Dr. Shilpa Hajare conducted the programme. It was attended by all the teaching faculties of Institute.

Internship Orientation Programme – 2017 Batch

Internship Orientation Programme of 2017 MBBS batch was organised by Dept of Community Medicine on 23/05/2022 & 24/05/2022. Dr. Kajal Mitra, Dean congratulated all the students and motivated them for serving the community. Dr. Ajeet Saoji, Prof and HOD, Dept of Community Medicine addressed the interns and Dr. Meenal Kulkarni, Incharge Internship program presented the rules and regulations for Internship.Group allotment was done. For addressing queries raised by interns question and answer session was kept.

Tree Plantation and Blood Donation Camp by NSS volunteers 2020 batch

          On the occasion of birthday celebration of Hon’ble Chairman Mr. Raanjeet Babu Deshmukh, tree plantation and Blood Donation camp was organised by NSS unit, NKPSIMS & RC and LMH, Nagpur on 28/05/2022. Mr. Vijay Barse, founder of Krida Vikas Sansthan, Nagpur and NGO Slum Soccer was the Chief Guest on this occasion. Occasion was also graced by presence of Dr. Kajal Mitra, Dean, Dr. Nitin Deosthale, Vice Dean & MS, LMH, Nagpur. Dr. Ajeet Saoji, Prof. & HOD, Program officer, NSS unit along with dignitaries, teaching faculty and NSS volunteers planted tree sapling in the premises of Institute. Blood donation camp was also conducted in alongwith Blood Bank, LMH. Total 11 donors which includes NSS volunteers, interns and post graduates donated blood. Donors were given certificate and token of appreciation by the dignitaries.

Poster Presentation – “World Menstrual Hygiene Day” 

Department of Community Medicine has conducted a poster presentation on “World Menstrual Hygiene day” on 28/05/2022. It was presented by interns posted in the department in presence of all teaching faculty. Presenters were as follows

Department of Community Medicine  conducted a poster presentation on “World No Tobacco Day” on 31/05/2022. It was presented by interns posted in the department in presence of all teaching faculty. Presenters were as follows
