Department of OBGY had organised Basic Obstetrics Skills Workshop for MBBS students (B Batch) 30 th , 31 st August and 2 nd , 4 th September 2024. On 30 th August (Friday), participants were divided into 4 groups. Hands on workshop was conducted on following topics, a) Obstetrics examination- Dr. Prajakta& Dr. Santosh b) Foetal skull and Maternal Pelvis – Dr. Shraddha& Dr. Risha c) Pelvic assessment – Dr. Rohini& Dr. Ojas d) Mechanism of labour – Dr. Abhilasha& Dr. Nidhi On 31 st August (Saturday), Hands on workshop was conducted with following stations, a) Universal precautions – Dr. Kritika & Dr. Abhishek b) Urinary Catheterization and ARM – Dr. Anurag& Dr. Nidhi c) Normal Vaginal delivery- Dr. Nikita Vijay& Dr. Srishti Chaudhary d) Episiotomy – Dr. Neetu & Dr. Darshan On 2 nd September 2024 (Monday), Hands on workshop was conducted on following topics, a) Forceps and Vacuum – Dr. Sheela Jain& Dr. Awanti b) Breech- Dr. Tithi& Dr. Shweta c) Shoulder Dystocia – Dr. Prajakta & Dr. Rutu d) Tubal ligation -Dr. Neetu & Dr. Santosh On 4 th September 2024 (Wednesday), Hands on workshop was conducted on following topics, a) IUCD (no touch technique) – Dr. Manasi& Dr. Deepakshi b) PAP Smear- Dr. Bhavana& Dr. Preeti Singh c) PS / PV Examination – Dr. Abhilasha& Dr. Gulnaaz d) S and E & D and C – Dr. Tithi & Dr. Silky Evaluation was conducted at the end of each session by OSCE, DOAP and VIVA questions. Remedial and hands on practice session was taken at the end of each day. The workshop concluded with certificate distribution. All participants appreciated the workshop.
