Activities from January to December 2023
Rally –Celebration of International Women’sDay
As per directives of Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik, huge rally was organized by the Dept of Community Medicine dted.08/03/2024 under the guidance of Dr. Aniruddha Deoke, Professor, Dept of Community Medicine and Dr. Sushrut Fulare, Chairman, College Student Council.UG students of our Institute and various other colleges affiliated to MUHS participated with full enthusiasm. Departments of Community Medicine and Surgery had taken active participation and lead in rally.The rally meant to sensitize the community regarding the breast cancer and its treatment.The theme this year was Embrace the Equity. Talk on breast cancer screening, investigation and treatment was organized for all the participants in Matoshree Hall. For the talk, Dr. Gayatri Deshpande, Assistant Professor, GMC, Nagpur was invited as guest speaker. Program concluded with valedictory and snacks.
Rally – Celebrating World Tuberculosis day 2023.
As per directives of Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik, rally has been organized by the Dept of Community Medicine and Respiratory Medicine dted. 24/03/2024 under the guidance of Dr. Aniruddha Deoke, Professor, Dept of Community Medicine and Dr. Sontakke, Prof and Head, Respiratory Medicine. UG students of our Institute and various other colleges affiliated to MUHS, Nashik participated actively with full enthusiasm. The rally was meant to sensitize the community to raise awareness about TB and efforts to end the global epidemic. Dr. Radha Munje, Prof and Head, Respiratory Medicine, IGGMC, Nagpur was invited as Guest speaker for talk on Tuberculosis – Epidemiology and management. The theme for this year was Yes, We can end TB. Department of Community Medicine and Respiratory Medicine were actively involved for success of the event. Program concluded with valedictory and snacks.
Visit To Gumgaon- Family Adoption Programme
Department of community medicine had organized the visit to Gumgaonvillage for Family Adoption programme for the Undergraduate students of Batch 2022 on dted.25/03/2023. The visit has been organized under the guidance of Dr. Ajeet Saoji Head of Department (Community Medicine), Dr. Meenal Kulkarni(Associate Professor ), Lecturer Dr. Leena Balpande, Dr. Sayali Bhagat, Dr.Akanksha Dani & Postgraduate student – Dr. Nitesh Upadhyay. 46 students were present at this educational visit.
NSS Special camp
Department of Community Medicine had organised the NSS special camp from 16th March 2023 to 22nd March 2023 under the guidance of Dr. Ajeet Saoji, HOD and Professor of Dept. of Community Medicine, as a Programme officer and Dr. Shilpa Hajare, Dr. Leena Balpande, Dr.Sayali Bhagat, Dr. Akanksha Dani. Wide range of activities were organised for the academic year 2023 which includes Health rally, Poster competition, Debate competition, Sports, Role play, Rangoli competition, slogan competition and cultural activity like dancing and singing. 50 NSS volunteers participated in the special camp with enthusiasm. Visit To Khairi Pannase- Family Adoption Programme
The department of community medicine has organized the visit to Khairi Pannase village for Family Adoption programme for the Undergraduate students of Batch 2022. The visit has been organized under the guidance of Dr. Ajeet Saoji Head of Department (Community Medicine) , Dr. Meenal Kulkarni ( Associate Professor ) Lecturer Dr. Leena Balpande , Dr. Sayali Bhagat , Dr. Akanksha Dani & Postgraduate student – Dr. Nitesh Upadhyay. 50 student were present at this educational visit.
Rally – Celebration of World Health Day
As per directives of Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik, rally to celebrate World Health Day has been organized by the Regional Centre, Nagpur on 07/04/2024. 150 UG students and NSS volunteers, PGs of Community Medicine of our Institute had participated with full enthusiasm. Dr. Aniruddha Deoke, Professor, Dept of Community Medicine and Dr.SushrutFulare, Associate Professor, Dept of Surgery&Dr. Shilpa Hajare,Associate Professor were the coordinators. Dr. Ketan Dagdiya and Dr. ZansherNazar, teaching faculty were the incharges for the rally.
Internship Orientation Programme – 2018 Batch
Internship Orientation Programme of 2018 MBBS batch was organised by Dept of Community Medicine on 12/04/2023. Dr. Kajal Mitra, Dean, Dr. Mohana Majumdar, Director General Administrator, Dr. Ajeet Saoji, Professor and Head, and Dr. Aniruddha Deoke, Professor, Dept. of Community Medicine, NKPSIMS & RC and LMH, Nagpur, officially inaugurated the programme. Dean Sir congratulated each graduate, talked to them about his internship, and encouraged them to pursue a great career by serving to the community. Dr. Ajeet Saoji, Prof and HOD, Dept of Community Medicine stated the rules and regulations for Internship and also addressed the queries raised by interns.According to Dr.Mohana Majumdar, interns should adhere to a code of conduct.Hippocratic Oath was admired by Dr.Shilpa Hajare, Associate Professor. Floral buds were used to recognize the first three high performers and four honorees. Dr. Yamini Pusdekar assigned groups, and Dr. Ketan Dagdiya gave the program’s final remarks.
