State Health Minister Shri Rajesh Tope inaugurated a State-of-the-Art E-Library at
N.K.P. Salve Institute of Medical Sciences & Research Centre & Research Centre
and Lata Mangeshkar Hospital, Hingna road, on Monday.
Shri Tope appreciated the organization for launching the E-Library of
international repute for the benefit of students and teachers.
Shri Tope also lauded the medical administration of Lata Mangeshkar Hospital for
its help to the patients during COVID Pandemic. He saw the facilities of the
college and hospital and expressed his satisfaction.
Hon. Dean of NKPSIMS & RC and LMH, Dr. Kajal Mitra said “This E-Library
has 72 separate computers and a centralized Wi-Fi facility. There are special
compartments for undergraduates, post graduates and medical teachers. The library
is fully air-conditioned and included a cafeteria and a reading room for teachers. In
addition, the 700-seat library has over 25,000 books and 500 national and
international print/online journals. It was a dream of our Hon. Chairman Shri
Ranjit Deshmukh to have an E-Library. Hon. Working Chairman Dr. Ashish
Deshmukh had taken initiative to establish this E-Library.”
Deputy Director, Health Services, Dr. Sanjay Jaiswal, Vice Dean & Medical
Superintendent Dr. Nitin Deosthale, Dean of VSPM Dental College Dr. Usha
Radke, IQAC director Dr. Mohana Majumdar, Senior Administrative Officer
Major(Retd) Dr. Lokesh Gotmare and other doctors were present on this occasion.
